Inspired by the Japanese word “omou,” meaning “to think, believe or expect,” this hand-sewn leather Mason jar sleeve is ideal for enjoying your daily cup of coffee and a moment of quiet contemplation. Handcrafted by Walter Cabal of Cabal Crafted, the piece is designed to encourage slow living and to re-dignify manual human labor. The vegetable-tanned leather is sourced from three of the oldest and most respected tanneries in the country and is designed to improve with age and use. Glass Mason jar included.

Artist
Walter Cabal Walter was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the US with his family at the age of three. Today, he owns and operates Cabal Crafted, a small studio in the diverse and often-overlooked community of Pomona, California, east of LA. Sourced from three of the oldest and most respected tanneries in the country, the leather he uses is vegetable tanned and designed to improve with age. From bags to basics, home goods and more, each piece Walter creates is meticulously handmade and hand stitched with the intention of re-dignifying manual human labor.
