One day in 2009, while a student at Rhode Island School of Design, Margo Petitti took a discarded swatch book from a friend’s menswear shop, cut out some of her favorite patterns and used the colorful squares to sew her father a Christmas scarf. From there, word of mouth being what it is, Margo soon began filling orders from friends, friends of friends and friends of friends of friends.
Today, this would-be landscape artist plies her trade in patchwork fields of a different kind. Her exquisitely stitched and luxuriously soft scarves, pocket squares and neckwear are worn and loved for their one-of-a-kind artistry.
